Tunnel portals are far more than just functional closures – they shape the appearance and must meet the highest technical requirements. This material was chosen because it optimally combines safety, efficiency and sustainability.

GLAPOR cellular glass is pressure-resistant, dimensionally stable, non-combustible and resistant to ageing – perfect properties for extreme conditions in tunnel construction. In combination with bitumen and EPDM membranes, it provides reliable protection against mechanical and climatic influences. The result: a durable, low-maintenance solution with excellent fire protection.

The solution is also economically impressive. The prefabricated boards can be laid quickly and efficiently – this saves time, cuts costs and significantly reduces work on the construction site.
